Business Opportunities

Opportunities for Our Members
With the eyes of the world on London there are many ways Bankside businesses can benefit from the activities of 2012.
The Games are estimated to boost UK’s GDP by at least £1.9 billion, and business hospitality will be a significant stimulant to this growth. 2012 will offer a unique opportunity to showcase the skills and expertise of British business, particularly from the SME community, to an international audience. The Games will provide a catalyst for potential partnering, inward investment and export opportunities off the back of the experience and successes of delivering the London 2012 programme. See below for ways to promote your business in the run up to, and during, the games.
CompeteFor
CompeteFor is a free service that enables businesses to compete for contract opportunities linked to the London 2012 Games. Contracts for work with Westminster Council, Crossrail and the MET are also managed here. So far, 98% of contracts have gone to British Businesses, with around 50,000 SMEs benefitting directly.
With a particular focus on supply chain opportunities, CompeteFor acts as a brokerage service, matching buyers with potential suppliers. It also facilitates access to focused business support, through the national Business Link network, helping to boost the long–term competitiveness of your business.
