Structure
Bankside Urban Forest brings together a partnership of key local stakeholders, businesses, community groups and inidividuals to share in a collective vision for Bankside.  Bankside, with its medieval street pattern, old warehouses, viaducts and pockets of open space is rich in tradition.  But Bankside is also subject to enormous pressure from development to change.  Bankside Urban Forest responds to this pressure, by providing a public space strategy with a unique ecological approach - a concept of urban green space networks and linkages which build on social as well as physical relationships.

Bankside Urban Forest is governed by a steering group of representatives from the strategic project supporters - Better Bankside, London Borough of Southwark, Tate Modern, Design for London, Cross River Partnership and the Architecture Foundation.  It is also supported by Land Securities and Native Land.  A full time member of staff - the Bankside Urban Forest, co-ordinates Forest activities.
