Help the Gambia Street Gardening Group with a tidy up and bulb planting

Come along and join a lunchtime gardening session at Gambia Street Gardens on Thursday 18 January between 12 and 2pm.

The Gambia Street Gardening Group is organising this tidy up and bulb planting session as the first step of its plans to refresh and improve the gardens in Gambia Street.

Volunteers from local businesses are needed to help with cutting back some of the existing plants, cleaning up the area and planting spring bulbs to help brighten up these gardens ready for Spring.  It's a great opportunity to volunteer alongside local residents to help improve this communal space, which was first created back in 2004 when Gambia Street was closed to traffic.  The Gambia Street Gardening Group is working on a plan to brighten up and improve the gardens over the coming months, with ideas including adding new seating and plants.

If you'd like to get involved, please email enquiries [at] betterbankside.co.uk (subject: Gambia%20Street%2018%20January)  to sign up for the lunchtime session on Thursday 18 January.
