Better Bankside has organised an “Operation Fairway” security training event to take place on Wed 17th Feb from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Bankside Community Space, 18 Great Guildford Street, London SE1 0FD (on corner with Zoar St).
Central to the training will be the showing of the DVD "Operation Fairway" produced by the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) which aims to alert businesses to ways of dealing with the threat of terrorism. These include recognizing and reporting suspicious behaviour in its various forms and often termed "Hostile Reconnaissance".
The training will be delivered by Southwark Police Counter Terrorism Patrol Team. CTPT will be available to answer questions about the current threat level in the UK and the work that the CTPT is doing along the riverside in Southwark. Members of the Bankside Security Network are invited to attend. Please send the names and contact details to Mohamed Hoggui - mh@betterbankside.co.uk of staff you feel may benefit from this training session.
