The annual Better Bankside Pancake Day Race will be held on February 21st from 12noon - 2pm. Sign your team up today!
The simple relay race is open to a maximum of twenty-five teams from local businesses, each team consisting of four members. Five heats plus a winners' race run inside Borough Market's Jubilee Market will establish Bankside's best pancake tossers
To sign your team up
Your business needs to be either a Better Bankside levy-paying partner or a Business Club member (we will be able to let you know whether you are or not) you must have a team of four people (we will provide the pans and pancakes)
Email ah@betterbankside.co.uk with the following information: Name of team, Company name, Name of team leader, Contact details of team leader
Better Bankside suggests a £20 donation per team (although donations of any size are welcome), which will go to Paintings in Hospitals, a local charity (no.1065963) that lends original works of art to hospitals, hospices and other healthcare facilities throughout the UK.
Information for participating teams
Before the day, click here to download the rules, circulate to team members and get practising! On the day itself, pancakes and pans will be provided. Remember to wear suitable shoes for running in and to bring your £20 entry fee in cash to be handed to Paintings in Hospitals at registration.
