Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment (WEEE) recycling collections

A regular 'amnesty' collecting WEEE recycling from businesses

Members who want to use this service can contact First Mile on 0800 612 9894 or by e-mail to Rosie Higgins Rosie.Higgins [at] (subject: Bankside%20WEE%20collection)  to book a collection. Alternatively, contact th [at] (subject: WEEE%20Collection) (Tom Harris) at Better Bankside who will put you in touch. 

Members should give details of equipment to be collected, quantity of material and collection point and reference Better Bankside WEEE Amnesty. Any electrical items and white goods can be collected, including kettles, keyboards, monitors, phones, laptops and microwaves.

All WEEE is taken to First Mile’s depot at Park Royal from where the materials are collected by Sims Recycling and transported to a facility in Kent. Here hazardous and non-hazardous WEEE is separated, broken down securely and recycled. Any hard drives are shredded to ensure confidentiality.

If demand is very high then collections might take place over a couple of days.
