The Better Bankside Travel Planning Group (BBTPG)
The Better Bankside Travel Planning Group was launched in November 2005. It is a joint initiative of Better Bankside and Southwark Council. The Group is open to all employers within the Better Bankside BID area and welcomes members who are employers elsewhere in north Southwark.
The overall objectives of the group are to:
- Act as a forum for the exchange of ideas on existing travel solutions and the development of the workplace travel planning tools
- Carry out a number of joint projects and seek funding for additional joint projects
- Recommend improvements to Southwark Council, Transport for London and other relevant organisations
- Represent the views of Bankside businesses on future transport schemes, particularly those related to new developments.
This Travel Plan has been developed on behalf of the Group and endorsed by its members. The BBTPG is responsible for:
- Implementing projects and other measures to help meet the Travel Plan targets
- Promoting the concept of the Travel Plan and its related projects to other Bankside businesses
- Reviewing progress in relation to the Travel Plan, both in terms of meeting targets and implementing projects, as well as ensuring that sections are updated as and when necessary.
