Bankside on the Move!

Better Bankside joins in the European Mobility Week celebrations this year with a three events exploring different ways to get around London.
Bankside on the Move! - Exhibition and Information Day
Where: Bankside Community Space
When: Friday 17 September 10am to 5pm
Who should attend: Bankside residents and employees
Come and find out the latest about the major transport developments in the area, including the redevelopment of Blackfriars Station and London Bridge Station. Discover more about the Barclays Cycle Hire and Cycle Superhighways scheme. Try out a folding or electric bike and take part in our Bankside Travel Time Competition to win your very own commuting bike. Bring your bike along to be security marked by the Met Police
Bankside Prom – Guided Walk featuring the Bankside Urban Forest
Where: Meet at the Bankside Community Space
When: Tuesday 21 September 5.30 to 7pm
Who should attend: Bankside employees
Come on a relaxing guided walk led by Valerie Beirne around key features of the Bankside Urban Forest. Blending the old with the new and plans for the future, the walk will help you discover some of the hidden parts of Bankside, as well as give you an insight into the buildings and streets you see every day. Well connected Bankside - Guided Cycle Ride
Where: Meet at the Bankside Community Space
When: Wednesday 22 September 6pm to 7pm
Who should attend: Bankside employees and their bicycles
Come and discover the beauties of London on your bike! As part of a series of cycle rides organised for Better Bankside by London Cycling Campaign, this special guided ride will include the new Barclays Cycle Superhighway Route 7, the Imperial War Museum, the delights of St James Park and Buckingham Palace before returning to Bankside via the South Bank.
