Big Savings for Better Bankside Businesses

Better Bankside SMEs can save thousands of pounds with the free environmental services Smart Green Business launched last month.
Martin Powell, Mayoral Advisor on the Environment, said at the launch on 22nd September: “We welcome innovative initiatives such as Smart Green Business and urge businesses to get involved.”
Jilly Forster, CEO of Better Bankside member Forster, the communications consultancy, said: “We’re a small business but well aware of our environmental impact, with 30% of our staff now regularly travelling by bike on business journeys and having reduced our paper consumption by 10% from last year. Smart Green Business will be a great support in helping us reach our ambitious targets, but also in making considerable cost savings which we can plough back into making our business even greener.”
Better Bankside SMEs who sign up will receive free consultation and professional advice. They will be supported to make simple changes that will help them save money and reduce their environmental impact across: recycling, environmental performance, environmental policy and management, resource efficiency clubs, travel planning, green procurement and knowledge transfer partnerships.
