The London 2012 Olympic Games are now less than 180 days away...

If you haven’t already done so, now is the perfect time to do a little bit of planning to make sure that your staff, customers and deliveries can get to you without a hitch.

London Bridge Station is expected to be one of the busiest stations during the Games period from 27 July to 12 August and again from 29 August to 9 September. In addition, transport services across central London are expected to be much busier than usual with 20 million extra trips being made.

The key message is that a few small changes will make all the difference. These include:

• Checking if some staff can avoid travelling on the busiest days – e.g by working from home
• Enabling staff to flexiwork – ideally coming in later and leaving later
• Avoiding the busiest Tube line and stations particularly during the evening peak
• Trying out walking and cycling for shorter trips
• Making sure your website has up to date travel information for your visitors and clients

In addition, look out for a series of special events held in cooperation with experts from Transport for London. The first of these is on Thursday 9 February at Jerwood Space. See here for more details.

Experts from Transport for London will also be available for a drop in session on Monday 20 February from 10am to 4pm at the Bankside Community Space.  There is no need to book, just come when you can.
