Leap into action!

2012 is a leap year, and Bankside-based charity the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign is encouraging you to put your extra day to good use by supporting their “Make Today Count” initiative.
● Skydiving: Be one of 100 brave fundraisers to take part in a charity skydive (to represent the 100 children diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy each year). See how it feels to freefall at 120mph through the clouds from 10,000 feet… The sponsorship you raise will support groundbreaking research.
● Employee raffle: As the leap year means an extra day at work (for most of us), the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign is asking companies to donate an additional day of annual leave as a prize in an employee raffle. They will be asking volunteers to sell tickets to their colleagues and draw the raffle on Wednesday 29 February. The winner will get to use their extra day later in the year while helping the charity raise funds for their vital work.
If you would like to take part, call the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign on 0207 803 4815 or email corporate@muscular-dystrophy.org

“Many people are involved
in the design and delivery
of the Better Bankside
programme. A large number of you
already play a part of the
governance structure, on
the groups that manage the
different themes, and on
the board. Committed
to a Better Bankside, we rely
on your feedback to direct
our efforts. So get involved.”
