Riverside Accessibility Improvements
London’s South Bank and Bankside, one of the capital’s most popular visitor destinations, is benefitting from a £4million makeover funded by the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, in time for the 2012 Games. The area will see improved pavement layouts, better lighting and signage, increased seating and more access ramps and handrails so that both residents and visitors will be able to travel around this area more easily.
Please note that unfortunately the project did suffer some delays due to the extremely cold weather and snow.
