17 October - Bankside Women in Business
Bankside Women in Business is back! But it is on a Wednesday, not a Thursday, as stated in the hard copy invitations. You can download a corrected invitation here.

Better Bankside's Business Club is once again presenting this seminar at which four prominent women from Bankside businesses debate issues facing women in business today. It will take place at the Menier Gallery, 51 Southwark Street, SE1 1RU, on Wednesday (not Thursday, as advertised elsewhere) 17th August 2007.

Among the questions the panel will tackle are:
  • Did you know what achievement in your chosen profession would ‘look like’ when you started out?
  • Can you remember the key moment when you knew there was an opportunity for you to achieve what you had hoped for?
  • How have you subsequently measured your success in your chosen career?
  • Is the culture of your organisation different because it has a woman or women in senior positions?
This is not a women-only event. However women are particularly encouraged to attend.

The running times are as follows:

6.15pm            Doors open & Refreshments

6.30pm            Seminar

7.15pm            Networking

8.00pm            Close

Please RSVP to Jogitha Jesudasan, Better Bankside, 020 7928 3998.

On show at the event is the solo exhibition by Debbie Riehl: ‘Riehl’s work uses a variety of disciplines from textiles to find art. She prefers to use a mixture of materials and techniques so that one can inform the other. Works are inspired from visual imagery as well as conceptual considerations, yet ultimately it’s about the doing of art.
