31st October - Free bike servicing |
As previously announced, Better Bankside is now offering Dr Bike sessions on the last Friday of every month at its new Community Space (click for directions). The event is staffed by the expert mechanics from On Your Bike in Tooley Street. There is also the opportunity to try out a selection of state-of-the-art folding bikes.
The mechanics will give bikes a basic service, concentrating on
any particular problems the owners point out. They will also fit basic
spares such as cables and brake blocks.If the mechanics cannot fix a
particular problem, or cannot supply a particular part, they will
advise the owners to seek a paid-for service elsewhere.
The next session takes place on 31st October 2008. If you
would like to book a place, and to avoid disappointment, please email info@betterbankside.co.uk. Otherwise, just turn up between 8am and 2pm to leave your bike, and ensure that it is picked up by 6pm.
Given the popularity of these events, Better Bankside requests
that, if you have had your bike serviced at a previous event, you wait
for three months before coming again.
