5th December - Christmas Service for Businesses |
For the third year in succession, Better Bankside invites all local employees to a Christmas Choral Evensong at Southwark Cathedral. The service takes place on Wednesday 5th December - the eve of the Feast of St Nicholas - at 5.30pm. It will last for about 50 minutes, and be followed by the lighting of the Cathedral's Christmas tree and mulled wine and mince pies at the back of the Cathedral. The service will launch Better Bankside's appeal 'Bring a Better Christmas'. You will also have an opportunity to buy our cards.
You can download Better Bankside's Christmas leaflet - with more details of the service - here and the appeal poster here.
After their excellent performance last year, music again comes from the Merbecke Choir - composed of former choristers (male and female) of the Cathedral and young people from the area.
This year Better Bankside is 'sharing' the service with the Friends of Southwark Cathedral and the Russell Partnership.
There is no need to RSVP, unless your organisation expects to bring a large number of people. In this case, please email Jogitha Jesudasan with approximate numbers.
