Better Bankside's Pancake Day Race
Shrove Tuesday or Pancake Day is a day when traditionally people prepare themselves for the disciplines of the Lenten fast!  And so we at Better Bankside are thrilled to announce another opportunity to experience a vibrant and fun Bankside - a Charity Pancake Day Race on Tuesday 20th February at 12:30pm in Borough Market, sponsored by Telinet, a Bankside telecom company.

We invite members of the Bankside business community to show off their pancake-tossing skills at the Better Bankside's Pancake Day Race. The races will be run along Bedale Street in Borough Market.  It’s a simple relay race with four members in each team, and anyone can join in (maximum of ten teams). Better Bankside suggests a £20 donation per team (although donations of any size are welcome), which will go to Broadway, a homelessness charity based near Borough High Street which provides services to more than 2,800 people a year who are homeless or have experienced homelessness.

Just bring your own frying pan (max. 20cm) and running shoes – pancakes will be provided! Click here to download rules.
