Better Bankside attends Times Créme |
From 13th to 16th May, Better Bankside attended the Times Créme exhibition at Olympia in partnership with Glaziers Hall, Shakespeare’s Globe, Southwark Rose Hotel and Etc Venues. The exhibition is aimed at Executive PAs and Secretaries, many of whom are charged with organising departmental or company parties, business meetings, conferences and corporate hospitality for key clients.
Bankside offers a truly inspiring location to excite delegates and top-notch bars, restaurants and hotels. But many event organisers are still unaware of the product available in Bankside. In a recent survey carried out by www.londonmice.co.uk, a third of respondents had not heard of any Bankside venue and another third knew a couple of venues. Only 4% knew the venues well and had used some of them.
Our aims for the Times Créme show was to raise awareness of the wealth of venues available for corporate hospitality, conferences, meetings and events, start building a database for further marketing activities and to launch our new Bankside venue finder - www.banksidevenues.co.uk.
The calibre of visitors was generally high with secretaries and executive PAs from large corporates looking for new venue ideas, many of whom were not aware of the range of venues available in Bankside. Over the three days we collated 380 interested contacts and our 25 press packs had all disappeared into the hands of journalists by the end of the show. The follow-up activity will include an email with a link to our venue finder on the new website and several venue showcases spread throughout the year.
