Learn about Business Continuity at City Hall – 31st October

As the awful events of 7th July 2005 showed, no business – small, medium or large – is immune from the effects of a major incident in central London. ‘Business continuity’ is the science of preparedness.

Southwark Council in association with Val Shawcross at the Greater London Authority (GLA), Southwark Chamber of Commerce and Business Extra present a seminar to provide you with advice to ensure your organisation remains resilient.

The seminar will cover a number of key topics:

·         Why you should have a business continuity plan, the benefits and costs
·         Real life case studies of those who didn't plan
·         Practical solutions and tips on business continuity planning and implementation
·         Advice on the tools and assistance already available to businesses.

This is a great opportunity for your organisation to find out more about what business continuity is, why you should do it, and to meet some of the experts in the field who can provide you with practical tips from their own organisations and experiences.

The event will take place in committee rooms 4 and 5 at City Hall, and runs from 6.30pm to 8.30pm. Entry is free, but please RSVP to Emergency planning and resilience team at Southwark Council, tel. 0207 525 7426, emergency.planning@southwark.gov.uk.
