The end of last year saw three more awards being given to Bankside businesses.

 

The Rake gained another award at the Class Bar Awards 07 (held at The Bloomsbury Club), this time for ‘Best Beer Experience’. This award is an industry award for the whole of UK and The Rake was up against bars from around UK including the rest of London , Nottingham and Leeds .

 

At the Visit London Awards, the premier event of the year for the tourism industry taking place at The O2, Borough Market was recognised as 'London's Best Market' as part of the Evening Standard Best Shopping Experience awards, which were voted for by the general public.

 

At the same awards St Christopher's Village on Borough High Street was awarded Gold for 'Hostel of the Year'.
