New www.visitbankside.com
Better Bankside and Southwark Council recently launched the new visitor website - www.visitsouthwark.com, which seeks to bring visitors to Bankside and the rest of Southwark and to enrich their experience of the area.

A joint project, the website presents Southwark’s visitor attractions broken down into smaller destinations, Bankside being one of them, which has its unique URL www.visitbankside.com.

The Bankside section provides a much more comprehensive guide to places to visit in the area. As well as listings of all the Bankside attractions – both familiar and off the beaten track – visitors can look for theatre, accommodation, food and drink listings and venue hire information.  The What’s On section is the place to look for events, exhibitions and festivals. There are also shopping guides, ideas for kids and families and a range of tips for days out around the vibrant, diverse and exciting borough. The website also offers practical links such as transport to find the quickest way around.

“We want to make sure that we highlight Bankside’s unique advantages and make sure anyone coming to Bankside to visit a particular attraction can discover what else is on offer in the area and therefore spend more time enjoying the delights of Bankside." says the Chair of Better Bankside's Area Promotion Group and Marketing Director at Shakespeare's Globe, Andrew MacNair. “Our focus in the coming year will be on increasing traffic to the new visitor website and generating subscriptions to a new monthly events newsletter."

So become a Bankside ambassador - visit www.visitbankside.com and sign up to the events newsletter!
