Nine Teams for BB Boules Tournament
Nine local businesses including Better Bankside have entered a team in the first ever BB French Boules Tournament taking place between 8th and 11th September in the courtyard outside La Cave Restaurant & Wine Bar. 
 
If you haven't entered a team, you can still come to watch the nine teams boule it out between them to find Bankside's Best Boulers, sample French wine and cheese at La Cave and enjoy popular accordionist street music - bal musette.
 
And you can show your support for your favourite team by registering your alliance in our poll on this website's homepage.  The most popular team wins a bottle of Champagne! Boules of Steel (Globe Business Publishing) are in the lead!

The Rules

Check out the How to Play section of the British Petanque website, where the rules of play are explained accompanied by pictures. The piste is not yet in place but Hays Galleria, off Tooley Street has a permanent piste in case you wish to practise your throwing skills.
