Southwark in Bloom
Judging of Southwark in Bloom will take place on 10th July. Southwark in Bloom encourages all local residents, businesses, community groups and schools to make the Borough a brighter, cleaner and greener place to live, work and visit. Included in the judging categories are Best Business Premises and Best Pub or Restaurant.

Within Better Bankside’s ‘greening’ portfolio we have for a number of years been encouraging and assisting businesses, the local authority and other organisations to plant outside their premises, along their streets and on their lands. To date the company has invested in over £100,000 installing and maintaining planted schemes.

Entries from businesses in the Better Bankside area include Tas Pide on New Globe Walk, whose vibrant floral displays add to the local street scene. Judges will also be visiting The Edible Estates project at Brookwood House on Webber Street.

The Southwark in Bloom judges will be visiting sites in Bankside during the afternoon of the 10th, where they will see at first hand the positive impact of business planting schemes on the local area. All entries will be eligible for nomination in the prestigious London in Bloom competition which will take place later in the year.
