Better Bankside have ensured an earlier start to this year's Bankside Frost Fair taking place on the Bankside Riverside outside Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe on Friday 14 - Sunday 16 December.  The Bankside Frost Fair will start at 11am on Friday 14 December to ensure local employees can join the celebrations and browse the winter market during their lunch time.

  

The annual Bankside Frost Fair is a celebration of Bankside's history when the River Thames froze over during very cold winters and Londoners took to the ice. Much like the old Frost Fairs, you will see a winter market with over 70 stalls perfect for finding those last minute gifts, the return of the husky dogs, ice sculptures, a colourful lantern parade on Friday 14th, ice- and snow-themed street theatre, a range of interactive activities, a Thames Cutters' boat race on Saturday 15th and festive food and drink to keep you warm including mulled wine and a hogroast.
