Utobeer's Richard Dinwoodie receives the award from Tamsin Greig
The Rake in Winchester Walk has been named best bar in this year's Time Out Eating & Drinking Awards. The Rake beat Artesian, Big Chill House and Montgomery Place to win the bar category. The 13ft x7 ft bar is the smallest in London.
Says The Rake's Mike Hill: "We are thrilled to have won the award and would like to thank all our customers and staff who go to make The Rake what it is. It was good to see that we where not the only winners in Bankside with Tate Modern's Cafe 2 winning best family restaurant and overall 4 of the winners South of the Thames – not the desert it was once thought!
Tate Catering CEO Robin Bidgood says of winning the best best family restaurant category: "It has always been our ambition for Café 2 to be a welcoming and enjoyable environment for families that offers a great selection of wholesome food and drink for all ages," says . "To have our ambition realised and recognised by the public is fantastic."
