Top Euro Sustainable Transport conference visits Bankside |
Wednesday June 4th sees the visit of some 50 sustainable transport practicioners to Bankside. They are making a site visit to the area as part of ECOMM - the European Conference on Mobility Management.
The focus for the group is on 'Area-Based Travel Plans' - they will be hearing about the regeneration of the Bankside area, the role of Better Bankside in assisting with its management, and the process leading to the publication of the Bankside Travel Plan in 2007. They will also hear about the efforts to the Better Bankside Travel Planning Group to deliver the ambitious targets in the Plan, and make the area a focal point for sustainable transport.
