Wednesday 20th September sees the launch of Better Bankside's interactive travel pages, as well as walk2go.com, another innovative travel resource. Click here to have a look and win a meal for two at local restaurant Roast, plus other prizes.

 

Two important new travel resources are being launched on the evening of Wednesday 20th September and employees of Bankside businesses are welcome to join the celebration.

Better Bankside interactive travel pages offer an interactive map together with travel information. They have been developed as part of the new Better Bankside website to encourage increased walking and cycling and promote a greater understanding of the area to local businesses and their visitors. The map allows visitors to search for local businesses and displays a range of transport information, including cycling, bus, underground and riverboat.

 

Also launched on the 20th is 'Design your own street', a ground-breaking interactive tool that enables visitors to design their own 3D version of Borough High Street online and consequently develop a better understanding of the impact urban design decisions can have on traffic, pedestrians and the quality of the environment. The site is at www.walk2go.com.
