Bankside Open Spaces Trust - Treasurer
Bankside Open Spaces Trust is a charity supporting local communities to improve and maintain parks/open spaces in northwest Southwark. With the help of volunteers BOST supports and services communities in developing different park and open spaces in the area to carry out consultation, fundraising and oversee improvements. BOST runs community gardening clubs, organises events in the parks all year round and has a community resource centre with a pond, raised beds, greenhouse and tool store. BOST has won some acclaim nationally and locally for its sensitive work on community building around Mint Street Park, Red Cross Garden, and the Community Garden at the Tate Modern, as well as others in the area. www.bost.org.uk

About the Opportunity: BOST is looking for a treasurer to offer them practical help with financial issues. The volunteer would become a member of the trustee board and would help staff, and the auditor to prepare accounts and reports. If possible, BOST would also appreciate help with fundraising applications.

Time Commitment: Trustees meet 10 times per year in the evenings; other help can be given by mutual arrangement
