The Golden Hinde Educational Trust exists to promote the heritage of the Golden Hinde ship, docked at St Mary Overie Dock, near Southwark Cathedral. They do this through offering the usual tours and visiting hours for tourists but are also working increasingly with schools and other groups. They offer workshops, storytelling and summer holiday activities to really bring the history of the 16th century to life. About the Opportunity: The Trust has just recruited a Director who is keen to improve the administration of the Trust. He would really like a mentor to turn to for advice and consultation, particularly around financial and legal issues. The Trust would also like to train one of their staff to be a bookkeeper so any expertise in this area would also be gratefully received.

 

Time Commitment: Very flexible - can be fitted around other commitments. The Director is looking for someone who is willing to offer advice over the phone, email and with occasional meetings (particularly at the start of the relationship).
