L'Arche is an international federation of communities for people with learning disabilities and assistants. They have eight communities in England, Scotland and Wales, providing real homes in ordinary houses to well over 100 people with learning disabilities and a similar number of assistants. http://www.larche.org.uk/

 

About the opportunity: The L’Arche community in Southwark/Lambeth are developing a project for their residents to make a quilt out of old shirts and silk ties. In order to do this, they obviously need a large number of shirts and ties! Would you feel able to co-ordinate a collection from your colleagues at work/friends and family? A one-off opportunity that would help make this project a reality.
