MS Society Information Officer |
MS is the result of damage to the myelin and when it is damaged, this interferes with messages between the brain and other parts of the body. The MS society aim of beating MS means that they increased the budget for the research to find the causes and cure. Also, we want to ensure that local services are of excellent quality and that in each London borough, there is a branch that offers a menu of services to local people affected by MS.
About the Opportunity: The information officer ensures that people affected by MS, the committee and other people contacting the branch have access to appropriate and up to date information on all matters relating to MS and on local services and resources.
The officer ensures that the branch keeps a supply of all up to date MS Society information leaflets and ensure that information leaflets are available in public places such as doctors’ surgery, library and hospitals.
Location: Flexible
Time Commitment: approx 2 hours a week.
