Southwark Citizen's Advice Bureaux - Trustee |
The Southwark Citizen's Advice Bureaux Service is part of Citizens Advice, a national network of advice centres providing advice and information on a wide range of subjects including welfare benefits, housing, employment, immigration, family, consumer and debt. They provide free, confidential, independent and impartial advice and undertake social policy work to influence the development of policies and services locally and nationally. The Southwark Citizens Advice Bureaux is a registered charity with two bureaux in the borough of Southwark (Bermondsey, Peckham).
About the Opportunity Trustee Board members play a crucial role in settling and monitoring goals for the development, funding and management of the Service to make sure it meets the needs of local people and runs efficiently.
Time Commitment The Southwark CABx Trustee Board meets approximately 5 times a year, usually in the evening in Peckham. The Trustee Board also has two sub-committees. Board members participate in the work of the Service, for example by sitting on sub-committees and working groups, sitting on recruitment panels, attending staff meetings and planning days, and representing the Service at local and national events.
Location Peckham/South Bermondsey
