Southwark Habitat for Humanity - Finance Trustee
Habitat for Humanity is an independent charity dedicated to building affordable housing for low-income families. Homes are built with the help of volunteers and homeowners, keeping contractor costs to a minimum and giving people the opportunity to learn some construction skills. Each homeowner family is required to contribute a minimum of 500 hours of their own labour. Houses are sold to the families at no profit with affordable mortgages, repaid over 20 years.

About the Opportunity This is an opportunity for a volunteer to use their accountancy skills to support the work of the trustees of Southwark Habitat for Humanity. As a trustee you will have responsibility with the other trustees for the charity's strategic aims and for the running of the business. Specifically as the finance representative on the board you will be responsible for the review of the annual report as well as other routine management reports.
