Time and Talents was founded as a Settlement in 1887 and today is a thriving community centre in an historic mortuary building in the centre of ‘old’ Rotherhithe where it functions as a community anchor for Bermondsey and Rotherhithe.

 

Services are user led and include both outreach work such as the Neighbourhood Care Befriending Scheme and interest and activity groups such as the choral society and arts and crafts groups which meet at the centre. The services cross generations, build community networks and break down isolation. They offer a sense of belonging to a community that is constantly changing. Time and Talents has a long track record of well organised, wide ranging work that is deeply embedded in the community.

About the Opportunity  The Settlement are looking for a volunteer to help with Marketing and Publicity.  They have just finished a major refurbishment of their building and are now looking to maximise potential for generating income from this major resource.  Looking for someone with design expertise and creative flair who can develop images and publicity that will really ‘sell’ the building to prospective hirers. Work could also include a promotional DVD that can be part of the publicity drive. If you can help with either the print or film aspects of this exciting opportunity please get in touch.
