Volunteer Centre Southwark – Advice Workshops for Young People
This opportunity has been taken.

Volunteer Centre Southwark is the volunteer development agency for the borough, encouraging individuals to volunteer and supporting groups that are looking for volunteers. They have a number of projects running currently, including working with mental health service users and unemployed youth. www.volunteercentres.org.uk

About the Opportunity: The Volunteer Centre is currently focusing on some of the most disenfranchised people in Southwark – those who are under 24, are not in full time education and are unemployed. They are using volunteering placements as a way for young people to get work experience and to build confidence in order to get them into work.
What we need you to do is to help hone their job application skills. This will include offering quarterly workshops on things like CV presentation, filling in application forms and mock interviews. This opportunity will be carried out as part of a small team of 2 or 3.

Time Commitment: Quarterly workshops will probably take place over a lunchtime

Location: SE1
