Walworth Garden Farm - Two Opportunities |
|
Walworth Garden Farm is a small local charity that has been in operation since 1987, transforming a former derelict site in a heavily built up inner city area of Southwark into a well-stocked farm and training centre. Activities they run include: horticultural training for long term unemployed residents of Southwark, working on local council estates to improve their green spaces, providing environmental education for local schools and providing horticultural therapy for people with learning disabilities, basic skills and mental health issues. www.walworthgardenfarm.org.uk
1. Systems Analyst
About the Opportunity: The manager at Walworth Garden Farm is looking for an individual with excellent administration skills to examine the administrative systems at the Farm and offer advice and guidance to make them more efficient. They have developed over the years but there is a lot of repetition and inefficiency that could be improved upon!
Time Commitment: Flexible
Location: SE17
Interested: Email us
2. Pro Bono Architect
About the Opportunity: Walworth Garden Farm are planning a major overhaul. They want to pull down their existing office and re-build an ecologically sound building on the footprint. There are pots of funding available for this kind of work but before the farm can apply for any of them, they need a set of plans to illustrate their visions. This opportunity is for a trained architect with a particular interest in ecological design who would like to make a huge difference to the future of this charity.
