Walworth Garden Farm Trustee
Walworth Garden Farm is a small local charity that has been in operation since 1987,
transforming a former derelict site in a heavily built up inner city area of Southwark into a well stocked farm and training centre. Activities they run include: horticultural training for long term unemployed residents of Southwark,working on local council estates to improve their green spaces, providing environmental education for local schools and providing horticultural therapy for people with learning disabilities, basic skills and mental health issues.
 
 
About the Opportunity: The Farm's Active board of trustees is seeking a new member to champion HR issues on the board.  The volunteer would ideally live or work in Southwark with HR experience within an SME, large commerical organisation or public sector.
 
Location: 2 minutes from Kennington tube.
 
Time Commitment: Meetings once a month on a Tuesday evening.
