Electric vehicle
Since June 2006 Better Bankside has been using an electric vehicle to provide environmentally friendly transport to support its cleaning team and a variety of area promotion and events initiatives.
The original pink Bradshaw FB2 Platform vehicle is a familiar site on the streets of the BID and has been the workhorse of the service. It is used to transport cleaning equipment and materials to the 56 locations that are cleaned on a daily basis. It has also helped our cleaners to attend rapidly to urgent calls from businesses and others for assistance and cleaning.
Due to increasing demands being made on the FB2, Better Bankside has commissioned a further electric vehicle. In June 2009 we took delivery of a new and larger vehicle built for us by Electricars, the EF1.5 Platform carrier.

“Many people are involved
in the design and delivery
of the Better Bankside
programme. A large number of you
already play a part of the
governance structure, on
the groups that manage the
different themes, and on
the board. Committed
to a Better Bankside, we rely
on your feedback to direct
our efforts. So get involved.”
