Fly Posting
Fly posting and graffiti are often signs that an area is in decline and is being neglected.
Like broken windows, if they are left unattended the area will soon become a target for so called graffiti artists and fly posters.
The Better Bankside BID is substantially free of fly posting and graffiti mainly due to the efforts of Better Bankside. Our Rangers are constantly on the look out for fly posters when they are out patrolling the area.
The Rangers will attempt to remove any that are within reach and are simply advertising or directing people to unauthorised events. They will call up the cleaning team for stubborn fly posters where jet washing is needed. Where fly posters may be a popular tag or have a more sinister significance, the Rangers will take photographs and forward to the police before getting permission to remove.
