Graffiti removal
As with the removal of fly posters, the rapid identification and removal of graffiti is essential to maintaining confidence in the public realm.
Such action has helped significantly to make the Better Bankside BID such a safe and attractive place to live, work and visit. Better Bankside's Rangers are tasked to identify and report graffiti on each patrol that they undertake. The Rangers will photograph each example and send the photo to the Council and the Police for comparison with other identified 'tags' or for registering if they are deemed to contain abusive, offensive or threatening messages.
Removal of graffiti is undertaken by the Better Bankside Cleaning Team or by the Council if a more abrasive treatment is required.

“We constantly struggle with the
impact of street drinking and rough
sleeping outside our office. It’s great
to know that the Better Bankside
rangers work with other agencies
to deal sympathetically with the
individuals concerned. That’s why we support Better Bankside.”
