Jet washing is a powerful way of cleaning large areas of the public realm, particularly those parts that have heavy levels of foot traffic and use and where there is frequent spillage, staining and trodden in gum.

For the last 4 ½ years, Better Bankside has employed a specialist company to wash over 20 locations within the Business Improvement District. The contractor visits the BID at differing frequencies throughout the year, with some parts being washed every month whilst others receive just a once per year clean. The effect is often startling, with surfaces seemingly taking on a new life.

Better Bankside's own cleaning team uses a smaller jet washer to help keep the surfaces looking clean by removing any spillage, fouling and disinfecting if needed.
