The maintenance of a safe and attractive public realm is dependent upon early identification of a problem and a rapid response with remedial action.
Better Bankside's Rangers are geared to the early identification of faults, such as defective lighting or missing lifebuoys as well as to responding to things that they are best able to remedy, such as dealing with people sleeping in doorways, moving on illegal traders and challenging anti-social behaviour.
The Rangers are able to mobilise our Cleaning Team to respond quickly to call outs for such things as the removal of dumped waste, the clearance of mess after rough sleepers have moved on and the clearance and disinfesting of areas fouled by people or dogs.
Better Bankside's Rangers are on call between 08:00-20:00 Monday to Saturday inclusive and 08:00 to 16:30 on Sundays.
