Public realm is the space between and
within buildings that are publicly accessible, including streets, squares,
forecourts, parks and open spaces.
Better Bankside is committed to keeping the quality of Bankside's public realm to as high a standard as possible. We do this through a range of our services, from street cleansing and greening, to the provision of our trademark pink tables and chairs and outdoor events we hold throughout the year which brigthen and liven our wonderful spaces.
More recently we recognise that a range of different organisations have a role to play in helping maintain Bankside as a world class visitor and business destination. With the pace of development within Bankside we have developed a long term strategy for improving and greening key routes and spaces across and beyond Bankside.
