Recycling
Better Bankside launched its free paper and cardboard recycling service in June 2008, contracting the award winning recycling company First Mile to make the weekly collections. In December 2008 Better Bankside signed up its 100th business member.
Since 1st June 2009 Better Bankside has widened its free recycling offer to include a range of materials such as drinks cans, glass bottles and various plastic in the same sack, along with an additional pick up each week.
Food Waste Recycling
As part of a three year project we are working on with other BIDs in central London - Improving the Environmental Performance of BIDs. Better Bankside will be better placed to help businesses in our area increase their capacity to recycle food waste.
