The fifth annual budget briefing over breakfast at Roast restaurant in Borough Market took place the morning after Chancellor Darling had delivered his first budget speech. Better Bankside were pleased to welcome back John Willman, Business Editor with the Financial Times, who spoke with authority and humour about the Darling budget and concluded that it was “a boring budget with risks”.
Participants were served Roast’s full Borough Breakfast and given an opportunity to ask questions from the floor both generally and in relation to their own businesses. Feedback from the event has been very good with the vast majority of participants finding the even excellent or very good.
An event survey link was sent to all who came along and will remain open until the end of Friday 4th April. Don’t forget that one person from those completing the survey will win a bottle of champagne, so get answering! If you missed this event or were unable to attend it was recorded and the podcast is available on this website. Make sure you book the date into your diary for next year!
