Support bombing and Tsunami victims this Thursday at the new
'Bar Blue'

Fete 11am-5pm + Summer Party 6-9pm Thursday 28th JULY 2005 Southwark Tourist Information Centre In aid of The MayorÕs London Bombings Relief Charitable Fund and the Tsunami relief fund

On Thursday 28th July there will be two fundraising events in and around Southwark Tourist Information Centre (TIC) Ð a fete during the day and a summer party, supported by Better Bankside Business Club, in the evening. Both events are in aid of The MayorÕs London Bombings Relief Charitable Fund and educational projects in Sri Lanka (as part of the Tsunami relief fund).

The evening party takes place from 6pm to 9pm in the brand-new Bar Blue, the stunning cocktail bar at the front of Vinopolis. Bar Blue will be serving up complimentary nibbles and special-price cocktails, with 10% of sales going to the two causes. Up the Arts comedy club in Bankside will provide the entertainment and there will be a charity auction with the chance to get your hands on some incredible items - including a signed David Beckham England shirt, a 1966 World Cup photo signed by Geoff Hurst, a framed gold Alfie DVD complete with Michael Caine's autograph and a framed gold DVD of The Office signed by Ricky Gervais. The daytime fete lasts from 11am to 5pm. A highlight will be the fabulous tombola, with the chance to win one of over fifty amazing prizes courtesy of London tourism partners. These include dinner at Bankside restaurants and family tickets to the London Dungeon. Also, Blue Badge guide Simon Rodway will be conducting his famous Bridget Jones walking tour at 5pm from the TIC and the Pearly King and Queen are expected to make an appearance. Refreshments will be on sale and there will be fun and games for the kids.

Southwark Tourist Information Centre is located within Vinopolis wine attraction at 1 Bank End, London, SE1 9BU. It is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10-6pm.
