Dutch province hosts Better Bankside study visit
As announced in a previous ebrief, members of Better Bankside’s Travel Planning Group (BBTPG) will be undertaking a study visit to the Netherlands in September as guests of the Province of Gelderland.
The objective of the visit is for members of the group to see how businesses in the city of Arnhem have worked together to create more effective and environmentally friendly travel options for their staff, customers and visitors.
Participants will leave London by Eurostar on the afternoon of 27th September, returning in the evening of 29th September.
The visit will include:

A cycle tour of Arnhem

A visit to the Ede Business Park (above) to meet businesses involved in OPTIMUM 2

A meeting with elected officials from both the Municipality of Ede and the Province of Gelderland

A drinks reception
-
A presentation on the redevelopment of Arnhem station

A meeting with transport officers at the Provincie Haus (HQ of the Province of Gelderland)
All costs will be met by the Province of Gelderland except travel to and from Arnhem. Better Bankside is inviting participating companies to meet these costs – estimated at approx £70 – themselves.
