Better Bankside - a new home, a membership drive, its first survey

Membership

All BID levy-paying companies are invited to join the company, ahead of the first AGM.

Better Bankside Executive Director Peter Williams has now written to all Business Improvement District (BID) levy-paying companies, inviting them to become members of the company. This allows companies to stand for the Better Bankside board, and to vote at the AGM, to be held on 6th December 2005.

Regrettably company law does not allow levy-paying companies to be automatically joined to the company. However the liability of those companies which do join is limited to £1. If you have not received a membership application form, you can download it here.

New home

The BID team is on the move. Having occupied rent-free premises at 185 Park Street for nearly three years - courtesy of Multiplex (formerly Chelsfield) - Better Bankside will, on 16th September, relocate to Ground Floor, Irwin House, 118 Southwark Street, SE1 0SW. Land Securities has provided this accommodation, again rent-free.

Survey

This autumn Better Bankside will be issuing its first survey to BID member companies. This will seek views both on the quality of the Bankside environment, and also on the performance of Better Bankside. It will allow the BID team to set 'benchmarks' against which to measure its work during its five - year tenure.
